It seems like, and may have been, forever since the last entry here. I’m not entirely certain as to the reason for the void, but the last entry showed the efforts underway to get fresh, good, clean water to the village. Well overdue in sharing that the project was a success, it with infinite gratitude we give thanks to Paul Cormier of Soleil Foundation and the Rotary Club of Rockville, Maryland, whose tireless efforts and generosity helped make the artesian well a reality. Forever grateful also to the individual contributors who helped make this amazing gift possible. I look forward to sharing some of the videos of the process and the results.

Truly hoping the next entry would include the wonderful experiences being shared of another visit to Bosye, the next visit is still in the future. With every opportunity to visit Haiti, and the village of Bosye specifically, there are such amazing experiences to share. Unfortunately, the next trip has still yet to happen. The next trip had been scheduled for November of 2021. The months preceding this intended trip brought increased crisis and difficulties, President Jovenel Moise was assassinated, July 7, 2021, and the kidnapping of 17 missionaries was committed, October 16, 2021. While there is always risk in travel, an atmosphere of extreme unrest and the occurrence and continued threat of severe fuel shortages meant difficulties, if not absolute impossibility, of transiting from the Toussaint Louverture International Airport to Bosye resulted in the last-minute decision to delay the trip, anticipating a new travel date in 2022. It is now 2023, and heartbreakingly, this trip has yet to be. With confident faith, the ‘next trip’ will be, hopefully in the not-too-distant future. For many that have enjoyed the wonders and beauty of Haiti, you will understand the desire and anticipation of returning. For those that have yet to experience Haiti, an amazing experience awaits, and I pray the opportunity becomes a reality soon. Until that time for all of us, I look forward to sharing on a much more frequent basis photos, updates and stories of the families and children of Bosye with the help of our “boots on the ground”, dear friend and ambassador to Haiti Inspires, Sorel Damour.

I close here, with my most humble apologies for the extended silence, as I move forward to share more about the progress, goals, and stories of everyday life for our village. To those who have stayed the course through this lengthy explanation, my sincere and humble gratitude.
